Gambia Rural Electrification Project
MEC executing a contract with NAWEC in The Gambia for a Turnkey Project for Rural Electrification. The project is financed by EBID, Lome under Exim Bank of India financing. The project is to be completed within 18 months. The preliminary design & engineering has been completed. Civil works are likely to commence from January 2014.
225KV Substation at Sikasso, Segou & Koutiala, Mali
MEC executing a contract for supplementary works for 225 kV substations at Sikasso, Segou and Koutiala. The Project is financed by BOAD. Major equipment's have been shipped. Erection work is in progress and the project is scheduled to be completed in May 2014.MEC will be installing for the first time SVC system in the Mali power system. This system will provide reliable and quality power to the local electricity authority EDM.
30/15 kV Substation, Kati, Mali
MEC recently signed a contract with Energie Du Mali- SA, Mali for design, supply, installation and commissioning of 30/15 kV Substation in Kati, Mali. The project is being financed by World Bank. Civil works for the substation already commenced in December 2013.
30/15 kV Substation at Djikoroni (DCO) Mali.
MEC was awarded a contract for design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of 30/15 kV substation at Djikoroni- Bamako, the project was financed by the World Bank. The substation was successfully commissioned in October 2013.
Solar Electrification Project in Gaza and Sofala Province in Mozambique.
MEC is installing solar systems in 100 nos. primary health centres in Gaza & Sofala. The electrification work at gaza province has been successfully completed and handed over to FUNAE in January 2013 but work in Sofala has been hampered due to heavy rains and civil war in that area.
Solar Project in Lusaka, Zambia.
MEC was recently awarded a contract by ZESCO ltd., the state owned utility of Zambia. The project includes 2 Nos. 25 KWp roof top solar power systems to be installed at Parliament Building and ZESCO head office . ZESCO team visited India in October 2013 to inspect the material. All the material have been shipped and the project is likely to be completed by March 2014.

MEC executing a contract to electrify 38 villages in TOGO. The project will be completed and handed over to the client by end of December 2013.The project will provide benefit of electricity to more than 9000 Households.
